Image & Video Processing SDK on NVIDIA Jetson
Updated:
The Fastvideo Image & Video Processing SDK runs the full GPU image pipeline on NVIDIA Jetson, so embedded and on-camera systems get PC-class imaging at low power. The same CUDA modules used on desktop GPUs run on Linux4Tegra (L4T) without changing the pipeline.
What runs on Jetson
- Raw acquisition and unpacking, dark-frame subtraction, flat-field correction, white balance, exposure
- Demosaicing (HQLI, DFPD, MG), luma/chroma denoising, colour correction, tone mapping (1D and 3D LUT)
- Crop, rotate, resize, remap, sharpening; JPEG, MJPEG and JPEG2000 encoding; RAW Bayer codec
- OpenGL output and FFmpeg integration for streaming
Supported devices
- Jetson TX2 / TX2i, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX, AGX Orin and Orin NX
- Linux4Tegra (L4T) with CUDA; 16/32-bit software ISP (no dependence on the hardware ISP / libargus)
For concrete kernel timings on a mobile GPU, see the Tegra X2 benchmarks. On newer Jetson modules (Xavier, Orin) the same modules run considerably faster.
