VGA camera 250 fps

VGA camera is based on monochrome or colour 10-bit CMOS sensor with global shutter, optical format 1/2", and resolution 640 x 480. Camera provides frame rate up to 250 fps for full frame resolution and much more for partial scanning at reduced resolutions. One can get 950 fps for the region of interest 320 x 240 and up to 3400 fps for the region of interest 160 x 120. Example applications include high-speed video inspection, particle tracking, kinematics, collision studies and biological image analysis. The camera is connected to PC via frame grabber with standard Camera Link interface (Base configuration), providing direct image transfer to computer memory at rates up to 255 Megabytes per second.

Camera Link imaging board provides real-time interface between the camera and PCI-Express bus and insures data transfer and camera control. The camera has also trigger inputs to control data capture and strobe outputs to synchronize external equipment.

The software provides camera control and image capture. That software captures video stream at up to 250 frames per second with 640 x 480 at 10-bit resolution and provides user-selectable playback frame rates. Advanced versions of the software are available. There is an option of realtime high speed video recording to RAID at full frame resolution and maximum data rate.
