High speed smart camera Fastvideo-250BF
High speed VGA smart camera has monochrome or colour 10-bit CMOS sensor with global shutter, optical format 1/2" and resolution 640 x 480. Smart camera provides frame rate up to 250 fps for full frame resolution and much more for partial scanning at reduced resolutions: one can get 950 fps for the region of interest 320 x 240 and up to 3400 fps for the region of interest 160 x 120. The camera has embedded DSP processor Blackfin (dual core ADSP-BF561, 600 MHz) and is connected to PC via Gigabit Ethernet. Smart camera has trigger input to control data capture and strobe output to synchronize external equipment.
Special features
- Frame rate up to 250 fps for full frame resolution 640 x 480 (10 bit)
- Subsumpling in Y direction to achieve reduced resolution while maintaining the constant field of view and increased frame rate
- Randomly programmable ROI read out (implemented as scanning of lines/columns from an uploaded position)
High frame rate at reduced resolutions: for the region of interest 128 x 96 one can get 5000 fps
- Read out direction can be reversed in X and Y
- Non-destructive readout option
- Multiple slope mode with extended dynamic range up to 90 dB
- Full snapshot shutter (integration during readout is possible): for frame rate 250 fps (640 x 480) the exposure could be in the range from 9 µs up to 4 ms
- Embedded DSP processor Blackfin (dual core ADSP-BF561, 600 MHz)
- Connection to PC via Gigabit Ethernet
Region of interest versus smart camera frame rate
